Simple Aeropress Method from Tanner Morita

Assemble your Gear
- The Aeropress
- Aeropress stirring paddle
- Scale
- Grinder
- 15g Coffee beans, ground medium-fine (10 on the Baratza Encore)
- 255g Water (212F/100C)
- Gooseneck kettle
- Mug
Brew Method
- Rinse the paper filter and assemble the Aeropress in the standard position (not inverted) over your mug.
- Add 15g of ground coffee to the Aeropress, shake to level the coffee.
- Start the timer and pour all 255g of water over the coffee. Immediately stir north to south, east to west 5 times. Insert the plunger to prevent the coffee from filtering through.
- At 1:00, remove the plunger and repeat the stirring process.
- Replace the plunger and press slowly, for 45 seconds. You should feel some resistance.
- Remove the Aeropress, serve and enjoy.
