Quick Aeropress Recipe: 13g, Inverted
Here is the quick Aeropress recipe I use, requiring only 13g’s of coffee.
- Brew time: 1:20
- Ratio 1:15
Assemble your Gear
- The Aeropress
- Aeropress stirring paddle
- Scale
- Grinder
- 13g Coffee beans, ground fine (10/40 on the Baratza Encore)
- 200g Water (212F/100C)
- Gooseneck kettle
- Mug
Brew Method
- Rinse the paper filter and assemble the Aeropress in the inverted position on your scale.
- Add 13g of ground coffee to the Aeropress, and shake to level the coffee.
- Start the timer and pour 45g of water over the coffee. Immediately stir X5 gently. Wait until the timer reaches 00:40.
- At 00:40, pour until the timer reads 200g, then repeat the stirring process.
- Using the mug to prevent spillage, carefully flip the Aeropress and press the plunger down slowly, for 30 seconds.
- Remove the Aeropress, and enjoy.
