Aeropress Brew Method: The Steep & Flip:
Ingredients:
— 18 grams of freshly ground coffee (medium grind)
— 240 ml of filtered water (heated to 205°F or 96°C)
Instructions:
1. Begin by rinsing and placing the Aeropress filter in the filter cap.
2. Invert the Aeropress and add the ground coffee.
3. Pour in all 240mls of hot water, ensuring all grounds are saturated, and give it a gentle stir.
4. Attach the filter cap but do not press yet. Let it steep for 3 minutes.
5. After 3 minutes, quickly flip the Aeropress onto your mug or serving vessel.
6. Slowly press the plunger down for 20–30 seconds, applying steady pressure.
7. Serve immediately and savor the smooth, nuanced flavors extracted through this method.
