How it works: Each week I will publish a new coffee recipe that I’ve been using at home. It will be made with either Aeropress, Chemex, French Press or Hario V60 pourover.

The Classic Aeropress Americano

This is the first recipe I tried with the Aeropress and what is recommended by its inventor, Adam Adler. As an Americano style coffee, you first brew the concentrate or the espresso before adding boiling water to create your cup.

What you’ll need:

• The Aeropress
• Aeropress Filter
• Aeropress paddle, used for stirring
• 15g Coffee: Ground fine. (Setting 4 on a Baratza Encore grinder)
• Kettle: To heat your water. (175°F or 80°C)
• Water
