A Busy Person’s Guide to Fall Activities

Fall is one of the coziest seasons, especially in New England. The sun sets earlier, the air is crispier and with long work days and the approaching holiday season, we feel more stressed. Below is an autumnal to-do list for a busy person who wants to make the most out of small moments this fall. The goal is to find time for calm and relaxation. Here 5 ways to cultivate some autumnal calm, all in under 2 hours.

Before you start:

Be specific about when: Get out the calander early, sit down with your household, friend group and/or partner and set dates for these activities. This way it’s more likely to happen. Time blocking is everything and it means that everyone can set aside time within their busy schedule for the activity.

1. Plant Bulbs (2 hours)

Planting bulbs is a fall specific activity. We plant bulbs before winter so that we can have flowers, like daffodils to enjoy in the spring. Setting time aside to garden, means also spending time outside, which has been proven to have positive effects to both our physical and mental health.
